A place to land while you figure out what’s next.

Two programs. One membership. Built around where you are.

Whether you need to figure out what you want or you're ready to go get it — both programs are included in the Compass Membership, along with live coaching, workshops, and ongoing support from Sam.

The two programs

M.A.P. — Mindset, Adventure, Pathfinding

Who am I?
What do I want?

Identity-first career development for students who need direction before they need tactics.

Figure out what you want — then go get it.

M.A.P. is a 50-lesson self-paced program that starts with you. Before tactics, before job boards, before the resume — it starts with your values, strengths, and what actually energizes you. From there it moves through exploration and into execution: research, networking, LinkedIn, interviewing, and offer negotiation.

For anyone who needs to do the identity work first.

Best for:Anyone who feels stuck or unclear on direction. Students who aren't sure what they want. Career pivoters in search of what’s next.

50 lessons · 12 modules · Self-paced

Launch Lab

I know what I want.
How do I land it?

You know where you're headed. Now move.

Launch Lab is a 33-lesson self-paced program built around how a recruiter actually evaluates candidates. It starts with your materials — resume, LinkedIn, portfolio — then moves through market research, networking, interviewing, and negotiation. Built for momentum.

For anyone who has enough direction and needs to execute.

Best for: Anyone who knows what they want and needs a system to go get it. Students clear and ready to launch. Professionals in active search with a clear goal

33 lessons · 5 phases · Self-paced

Both programs cover the core job search skills. The difference is the starting point. Start with M.A.P. if you need direction. Start with Launch Lab if you're ready to move. Both are included in your membership.

Who this is for

Wherever you are, what ever experience level this is where you start.

Current students Still in school and want to get ahead — building clarity, direction, and a strategy before you graduate.

Recent grads Graduated and stuck. Applying everywhere and hearing nothing back or not sure what to apply for.

Early career (1–3 years in) In your first role but it doesn't feel right — or ready to pivot before you get too far down the wrong path.

Mid-career (4–10 years in) You've gotten good at something — but you're not sure it's the right something. Maybe the role doesn't fit anymore, maybe the industry has shifted, maybe you've just outgrown the path you started on. Smart, capable, and ready to stop settling.

Senior / Leadership You've built something real. The title, the team, the track record. But something's pulling you toward a different chapter, a pivot, a reinvention, a step back to figure out what you actually want to build next. This is where that work happens.

Hi, I'm Sam — your coach.

I'm an ICF-certified coach (ACC), trained through Brown University's coaching program, and a former creative recruiter, co-founder of a boutique recruitment firm that placed talent at Wieden+Kennedy, Droga5, Ogilvy, Apple, Google, Lyft, Brooks Running, and other top agencies and brands for 25 years.

That combination, recruiter and coach means I can work with you through the whole journey: from figuring out what you actually want, to going out and getting it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“If you work in advertising and aren’t talking to Sam, you’re missing out. She’s like an ad world Yoda. Over the years, Sam has been a sounding board, a trusted advisor, a source of sharp insight, and someone I’ve leaned on for honest advice when I’ve needed it most. She just gets it—the industry, the people, the nuance. Whether you’re job hunting, navigating a tricky professional moment, or just need a smart take on something, Sam is your career’s secret weapon.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Six months out of college, I was trying to break into advertising but struggling to find the right direction. I was getting occasional interviews, but I had not yet uncovered what I truly wanted from my career or how to position myself in a way that felt authentic.

Working with Sam Glatzer as my career coach changed that. Through her MAP Process, which emphasizes deep self-reflection, exploration, and intentional pathfinding, I gained real clarity on what drives me and what kind of work I want to build my career around.

That shift in insight made all the difference. This past week, I started my new role at Mighty Union and I genuinely would not be here without the work we did together.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this 1:1 coaching or group coaching?

Compass is group-based. You'll join live Office Hours and workshops with other members, post questions in the Career Q&A, and get my direct input throughout. It's not a replacement for 1:1 coaching — it's a way to get ongoing guidance, recruiter insights. If you decide you want dedicated 1:1 time, members get first access to my private coaching engagements.

How often are Office Hours and workshops?

Office Hours and workshops each run twice a month. Workshops rotate through the topics members ask for most, networking, interviewing, salary negotiation, transitions, portfolio reviews, leadership. Everything is recorded, so you can watch on your own time if you can't make it live.

Who is Compass Membership for?

Compass is for anyone navigating a career question they don't have a clear place to bring. Students and new grads trying to figure out where to start. Early-career creatives a few years in who thought the path would be clearer by now. Mid-career and senior professionals navigating a pivot, a layoff, or a quiet "is this still it" question. If you're somewhere in the in-between, this is for you.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Monthly memberships can be cancelled anytime — no long-term commitment. Annual memberships are paid upfront for the year. You can also try Compass free for 7 days to see if it's the right fit before you're charged.

What's the difference between Programs and your 1:1 coaching?

1:1 coaching is a dedicated engagement with me, focused entirely on your specific career — usually 6 or 12 sessions over a few months. It's the right fit when you want deep, personalized work. Compass programs provide in depth learning with ongoing support: a place to keep showing up with whatever's on your mind that week, with community and recruiter insight built in. Some people start in Compass Programs and decide to add 1:1 work later. Others come from 1:1 coaching and join Compass to keep the momentum going.

Do I need to be in a creative field for this to work for me?

My background is in placing creative talent at agencies and brands, so I bring that lens to the work — but the questions Compass is built around are universal. Networking, transitions, confidence, knowing what you want, knowing when to leave. If you're navigating any of that, you'll find what you need here.

What if I land a job? Should I cancel?

A lot of members find the first 90 days in a new role are when they want Compass most. Stay if it's serving you. Leave when it's not.
