Fun Fact

Matt prepared for an advertising career by spending a season cutting patterns into the outfield at Oriole Park at Camden Yards as a full-time member of the Baltimore Orioles grounds crew.

Background

Matt grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland. He attended Ohio University, Towson University, and the VCU Brandcenter.

Before finding his way into advertising, he thought he might become an archaeologist, then a photojournalist, and finally a writer. His career eventually brought together creativity, storytelling, leadership, and a lifelong love of making things — though his proudest accomplishment may still be his time on a Major League Baseball grounds crew.
