About
Andy is a freelance VP, Brand / Account Director with deep experience across client-side marketing, agency account management, brand leadership, and team development.
He started his career on the client side working on the truth campaign, but knew he wanted to better understand the creative process from inside an agency. Since then, he has spent 13 years working across a wide range of clients — from nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies — at several Agency of the Year-nominated agencies.
Andy has led multiple teams that produced award-winning work and has seen account management from many angles, scales, and situations. There is very little in the account management world that would surprise him.
He is currently navigating the freelance account management path, which looks very different from the more common creative or production freelance model. Background
Andy grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and attended the University of Maryland, where he earned a B.S. in Marketing and Finance.
He entered college as a Finance major, but eventually realized that finance was not the career or life he truly wanted. Advertising and marketing became the second path that interested him — and ultimately the one that led him into brand, account management, agency work, and freelance leadership.
